Find your best fit

Start with your buying decision

Start with these listed features, advertised feel, and seller terms, then consider how they fit your preferences. The detailed comparison below covers shared features, differences, and questions to confirm before choosing either mattress.

The literal feel and profile change

Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 9000: Medium; 16.5 inches tall
Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 13000: Medium Plush; 18 inches tall

Why it matters: Series 9000 is the balanced Heritage option: its Medium feel keeps turning easier and suits more back and combination sleepers. Series 13000 lets the shoulder and hip settle farther into a Medium Plush pillow top, a more focused benefit for side sleepers and shoppers who find Medium too resistant. The extra softness is not automatically better for stomach sleepers or anyone who prefers to sleep on top of the mattress.

AvoSpring refinement

Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 9000: Series label: up to 9,000 individually tuned AvoSprings
Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 13000: Series label: up to 13,000 individually tuned AvoSprings

Why it matters: The upper series adds 4,000 springs at the collection's published maximum. Avocado explains that the deep support coils carry the body while the smaller comfort springs respond to finer curves, limit motion near the surface, and leave airflow channels through the mattress. More springs here mean finer contouring, not automatically firmer or universally better support. Choose the higher count when you want the surface to adapt more precisely or share the bed with a restless partner; the lower series keeps the same Grand Luxe support concept when that refinement is not worth $3,600 to you.

Latex and natural comfort materials

Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 9000: 2 inches of latex; Grand Luxe cotton, British wool, alpaca, silk, and mohair material package
Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 13000: 2 inches of latex; the same named Grand Luxe natural-fiber family

Why it matters: Avocado publishes the same total latex depth for these two configurations, so the price step is not an extra-latex upgrade. The useful differences are the softer feel, taller upholstery package, and higher AvoSpring maximum. Choose the lower series confidently when 2 inches already give you the buoyant latex response you want.

Which one fits you

Our buying recommendation

Buy Grand Luxe Heritage Series 9000 when you want the Heritage pillow-top design with a balanced Medium feel, easier movement, and less surface sink; it is the stronger value and saves $3,600. Upgrade to Grand Luxe Heritage Series 13000 when you sleep mainly on your side or want more shoulder and hip cushioning while stopping short of Ultra Plush. The added 4,000 AvoSprings at the published maximum and 1.5-inch profile increase give that shopper a concrete reason to spend more. Both remain confident direct purchases under the same one-year Avocado trial and 25-year warranty.

Grand Luxe Heritage Series 9000 vs Grand Luxe Heritage Series 13000: What the $3,600 Step Adds

Grand Luxe Heritage Series 9000 is a 16.5-inch Medium Grand Luxe with 2 inches of latex and a series label promising up to 9,000 AvoSprings. Grand Luxe Heritage Series 13000 moves to a 18-inch Medium Plush build with 2 inches of latex and up to 13,000 AvoSprings. The current Queen price rises from $13,699 to $17,299. That premium buys a softer comfort specification, 4,000 more springs at the collection's published maximum, and 1.5 inches of added profile. It does not buy a longer trial, a longer warranty, or broader size availability.

What Avocado does and does not disclose

Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 9000: Published: Medium, 16.5-inch profile, 2-inch latex total, and up to 9,000 AvoSprings
Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 13000: Published: Medium Plush, 18-inch profile, 2-inch latex total, and up to 13,000 AvoSprings

Why it matters

Avocado's current layer-by-layer guide names all six Grand Luxe feels but leaves their individual layer lists blank. It does not say exactly which batting, spring-unit height, or upholstery layer accounts for every inch between these two models. SleepRanked therefore treats the published feel, height, latex depth, spring maximum, price, and shared material family as the literal differences and does not invent an internal recipe the manufacturer has not released.

Sizes and bed-height planning

Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 9000: Queen, King, California King, and Split King; 16.5-inch mattress
Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 13000: The same four sizes; 18-inch mattress

Why it matters

Neither tier adds Twin, Twin XL, or Full. The 1.5-inch profile increase changes the finished bed height and may require a deeper fitted sheet. Measure the frame, foundation, and mattress together: a taller mattress is a visible luxury feature, but it is not proof of stronger support and can make the bed harder to get into for some shoppers.

Queen price and direct-purchase comfort confidence

Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 9000: $13,699 current direct Queen price; one-year Avocado trial; 25-year limited warranty
Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 13000: $17,299 current direct Queen price; the same trial and warranty

Why it matters

The lower series saves $3,600 and keeps Avocado's direct comfort guarantee. Direct purchases have a 365-night trial with a required 30-night minimum; a Grand Luxe return carries a 10% return fee, and original shipping or optional in-home setup charges are nonrefundable. Those terms apply because the current shopping buttons lead to Avocado. If a retailer supplies a future offer, that retailer's comfort guarantee must replace this language.

Who benefits from each mattress?

Use the differences above to match the mattress to the way you sleep. Each model has a clear reason to buy. When one costs less, choose it if it already delivers the feel, support, and temperature control you want. Pay more when the added material or feature gives you a benefit you expect to notice every night.

Choose Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 9000 if:

Buy Heritage Series 9000 when you want a substantial pillow top but still prefer a balanced Medium response for back or combination sleeping.
Choose it when the published 2-inch latex depth and up to 9,000 AvoSprings already give you the Grand Luxe material and support concept you want.
Buy the lower series to save $3,600 while keeping the same direct trial, 25-year warranty, and four-size Grand Luxe availability.

Choose Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 13000 if:

Choose Heritage Series 13000 when side-sleep pressure points or a clear preference for a softer first feel make Medium Plush worth the step.
Upgrade when finer surface contouring and motion separation from the additional 4,000 springs are benefits you expect to notice every night.
Spend more when the taller, softer Medium Plush execution matters even though Avocado publishes the same latex depth in both models.

Published construction details and claims are from Avocado's current Grand Luxe product, comparison, construction, firmness, coil, and return-policy pages. SleepRanked verified current Grand Luxe options, Queen prices, size availability, dimensions, firmness labels, published AvoSpring maximums, latex totals, and direct return terms from Avocado on September 13, 2026. Material and performance explanations are Avocado claims translated into practical buying guidance; SleepRanked has not independently lab-tested these mattresses. Avocado's current layer-by-layer guide leaves the six Grand Luxe model sections blank, so this comparison does not attribute the undisclosed profile increase to a specific internal layer. Direct terms apply only while Avocado supplies the shopping destination.
