Product selection and affiliate conflicts

We select topics and products for their relevance to readers, not because a commission is available. Products may be discussed without a purchase link. We do not accept payment for favorable ratings or undisclosed sponsored placement.

Affiliate rates vary. Choosing an earning link for an already-selected product is a separate decision from recommending that product. Commission rates are not inputs to the catalog-score formula. See our affiliate disclosure.

Evidence and its limits

Manufacturer and retailer information can establish specifications and purchase terms, but it does not by itself prove comfort, cooling performance, durability or health outcomes. We aim to retain a dated source for factual corrections and identify uncertainty. Some older records remain incomplete or out of date; a price check does not verify the whole product.

We do not claim hands-on testing, laboratory measurements, medical credentials, verified purchases or customer-review aggregation without supporting evidence. Our automated catalog scores are not customer ratings or clinical recommendations.

Scores, shortlists and corrections

Catalog scores use a fixed formula applied to recorded performance ratings, price and policy fields. Missing required inputs mean no displayed score, not a poor product. Quiz matches use a different preference-based calculation. Our methodology explains the weights and limitations.

In September 2026, we removed legacy partner-specific and high-price score boosts, affiliate-based homepage and browse ordering, and an automatic one-review claim. These changes correct conflicts with our stated standard; they do not certify that every older article or catalog claim has now been verified.

AI and automation

AI tools assist research, drafting, data checks and site maintenance. We do not claim that every published passage has been independently reviewed by a human or tested first-hand. Automated summaries and scores can be wrong. Factual claims still need appropriate evidence, and uncertain conclusions should be identified rather than presented as measured results.

Prices and update timing

Prices, availability and policies can change. Checks are performed as part of ongoing maintenance, but there is no guarantee that every entry has a current check or that every page is reviewed on a fixed schedule. Confirm the model, size, final price, shipping, trial, warranty and return costs with the seller before ordering.

Reader reviews

Mattress pages accept reader submissions for moderation. Submission does not establish a verified purchase, and an automated catalog score must not be counted as a reader review. Public aggregate review information is withheld until at least five reviews have been approved. Approval is moderation, not proof that every statement is accurate.

Report a problem

Use our contact page to flag an incorrect price, specification, policy or claim. Include the page and a relevant source where possible. We review reports, preserve recovery records for changes, and document material corrections. We do not promise a response deadline we cannot consistently meet.
