Find your best fit

Start with your buying decision

Start with these listed features, advertised feel, and seller terms, then consider how they fit your preferences. The detailed comparison below covers shared features, differences, and questions to confirm before choosing either mattress.

The literal comfort target

Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 17000: Ultra Plush; True Heritage pillow top; 19.25 inches
Avocado Luxury Organic Mattress - Ultra Plush: Ultra Plush; box top; 15 inches

Why it matters: These are not identical-feel mattresses at two quality levels. Avocado Luxury Organic Ultra Plush is designed for shoppers who want the softest Luxury Organic feel with a deep five-inch latex stack for dedicated and lighter side sleepers. Grand Luxe Heritage Series 17000 targets shoppers who want the deepest Grand Luxe surface, maximum published AvoSpring refinement, and the collection's most elaborate finish. Choose the feel that fits your sleep position and surface preference first; paying more for the wrong firmness is not an upgrade.

Latex comfort depth

Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 17000: 3 inches total latex
Avocado Luxury Organic Mattress - Ultra Plush: 5 inches total latex

Why it matters: Avocado Luxury Organic Ultra Plush publishes 2 more inches of latex and costs far less. Latex supplies buoyant cushioning and quick response, so shoppers who want a more latex-led feel have a concrete reason to prefer Luxury Organic. Grand Luxe does not justify its price with more latex; its distinguishing comfort feature is a much denser system of small springs that can respond point by point while keeping air moving.

Spring architecture

Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 17000: Series selector: up to 17,000 AvoSprings across multiple comfort and support units; seven ergonomic support zones
Avocado Luxury Organic Mattress - Ultra Plush: 1,036 Queen microcoils over 1,081 seven-zone base coils, 2,117 total

Why it matters: Avocado says the deep coils handle load and alignment while smaller comfort springs read finer body contours, separate motion near the surface, and create airflow channels. That gives Grand Luxe a real functional case for couples, restless sleepers, and shoppers who prefer spring-based contouring over a deeper latex stack. Raw count alone does not make a mattress better, and Avocado does not publish the exact gauge or per-unit count for this Grand Luxe series.

Which one fits you

Our buying recommendation

Buy Avocado Luxury Organic Ultra Plush for the strongest overall value. It saves $13,430, publishes 2 more inches of latex, offers two additional sizes, and has the smaller direct return fee. Upgrade to Grand Luxe Heritage Series 17000 when its Ultra Plush feel, up-to-17,000 AvoSpring comfort concept, and flagship finish are the exact features you want. That is a focused luxury purchase, while Luxury Organic remains a confident premium mattress rather than a compromise.

Avocado Luxury Organic Ultra Plush vs Grand Luxe Heritage Series 17000: Does Grand Luxe Earn $13,430 More?

Avocado Luxury Organic Ultra Plush is the value leader in this comparison at $6,569 for Queen. It is a 15-inch Ultra Plush box top with 5 inches of latex and 1,036 Queen microcoils over 1,081 seven-zone base coils, 2,117 total. Grand Luxe Heritage Series 17000 costs $19,999 for Queen and changes the proposition to a 19.25-inch Ultra Plush True Heritage pillow top with 3 inches of latex and a selector description of up to 17,000 AvoSprings. Grand Luxe is not a simple more-material upgrade: Luxury Organic actually publishes 2 more inches of latex. The Grand Luxe premium pays for a much denser spring-based comfort concept, a taller presentation, and the flagship finish.

Illustrated cutaway comparing a natural luxury hybrid with deeper latex against a flagship hybrid with multiple dense microcoil tiers — Construction illustration: This visual shows the verified architecture tradeoff: Luxury Organic publishes more latex, while Grand Luxe's selected series emphasizes a much higher AvoSpring maximum and a more elaborate finish.

Natural materials and finish

Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 17000: British wool, organic cotton, Peruvian alpaca, silk, mohair, hemp, cocopad, Pure Talalay latex, hand top-and-side tufting, and embroidery
Avocado Luxury Organic Mattress - Ultra Plush: Organic cotton, wool, alpaca, silk and mohair blend, hemp, cocopad, Dunlop latex, and Pure Talalay in the Luxury Organic family

Why it matters

Both are premium natural-material mattresses; Luxury Organic is not a stripped-down synthetic alternative. Grand Luxe puts more emphasis on rare fibers, dense comfort-spring refinement, side finishing, and visual craftsmanship. Spend for that flagship execution when those details matter to the purchase. Choose Luxury Organic when certified organic construction and a substantial natural comfort stack are the goal and the extra finish would not change how you sleep.

Size and height differences

Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 17000: Queen, King, California King, and Split King; 19.25-inch profile
Avocado Luxury Organic Mattress - Ultra Plush: Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, California King, and Split King; 15-inch profile

Why it matters

Luxury Organic adds Twin XL and Full choices that Grand Luxe does not offer. Grand Luxe is 4.25 inches taller in this pairing. Profile changes the finished bed height, sheet depth, and visual scale; it does not prove stronger support. Measure the full sleep system before treating extra height as a benefit.

Queen price and direct-purchase comfort confidence

Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 17000: $19,999 current direct price; one-year trial; 10% return fee; 25-year warranty
Avocado Luxury Organic Mattress - Ultra Plush: $6,569 current / $7,299 regular; one-year trial; $99 mattress return fee; 25-year warranty

Why it matters

Luxury Organic saves $13,430 at the current direct prices and has a far smaller stated return fee. Both direct trials require at least 30 nights; original shipping and optional in-home setup charges are nonrefundable. That makes Luxury Organic the easier value and lower-risk default. Grand Luxe should win only when its feel, spring refinement, and finish are worth both the purchase premium and the larger potential return deduction. Another seller's comfort guarantee replaces these terms if the shopping destination changes.

Disclosure limit

Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 17000: Avocado publishes the Grand Luxe feel, height, latex total, materials, seven zones, and selector AvoSpring maximum, but leaves the per-series layer list blank
Avocado Luxury Organic Mattress - Ultra Plush: Avocado publishes the Luxury Organic layer sequence and exact Queen base and microcoil counts

Why it matters

The comparison can explain the verified architecture and buyer fit without pretending to know where every Grand Luxe spring or fiber sits. A shopper paying this premium deserves that distinction. SleepRanked will update the page if Avocado releases a full per-series blueprint.

Who benefits from each mattress?

Use the differences above to match the mattress to the way you sleep. Each model has a clear reason to buy. When one costs less, choose it if it already delivers the feel, support, and temperature control you want. Pay more when the added material or feature gives you a benefit you expect to notice every night.

Choose Avocado Grand Luxe True Heritage Pillow-Top Series 17000 if:

Choose Heritage Series 17000 when you want Ultra Plush comfort delivered through far more small springs, a 19.25-inch profile, and the most ornate Grand Luxe construction.
Upgrade when the selector's up-to-17,000 AvoSpring specification and finer spring-based contouring are benefits you expect to feel nightly.
Choose Grand Luxe when its flagship fibers, top-and-side tufting, embroidery, and taller visual presence are part of what you want to own, rather than assuming price alone makes it a better fit.

Choose Avocado Luxury Organic Mattress - Ultra Plush if:

Buy Luxury Organic Ultra Plush when you want Avocado's softest comfort target with more latex and a known two-unit coil build while saving $14,160.
Choose it when 5 inches of latex and 1,036 queen microcoils over 1,081 seven-zone base coils, 2,117 total fit your preferred natural-hybrid response.
Buy Luxury Organic to save $13,430, gain Twin XL and Full choices, and keep the same one-year direct trial and 25-year warranty with a $99 mattress return fee instead of 10%.

Published construction details and claims are from Avocado's current Grand Luxe, Luxury Organic, construction, comparison, firmness, coil, and return-policy pages. Claude researched this cross-line set from nine official Avocado pages on September 13, 2026. SleepRanked independently reproduced the feel names, dimensions, latex totals, size ranges, support zones, Luxury Organic layer and Queen-coil details, direct return terms, and Grand Luxe selector descriptions; exact direct prices were reproduced from Avocado's live Shopify variant data. Avocado's current sources conflict on the Luxury Organic Ultra Plush height and leave the six Grand Luxe layer sections blank, so the page uses the current lineup comparison height and does not invent a Grand Luxe per-layer formula. Material-performance descriptions remain manufacturer claims, and direct terms apply only while Avocado supplies the shopping destination.
