Pros & Cons
Pros
- + The 3D Matrix gel-polymer layer is the reason to choose this model over a conventional GhostBed hybrid: GhostBed says it stretches with the body to redistribute pressure while resisting heat buildup
- + ProCore Elite targets the center third with what GhostBed describes as 33% more support, giving the plush surface a distinct support strategy rather than relying on softness alone
- + Individually wrapped six-inch coils add airflow and spring response, while two reinforced Spirited Edge rows support shoppers who sit or sleep near the perimeter
- + Choose 3D Matrix for GhostBed's plushest current feel and specialty gel-polymer system; compare Signature Hybrid for a lower-priced medium hybrid or Luxe Hybrid when premium cooling matters more than that specialty layer
Cons
- - GhostBed publishes six total layers but does not provide the complete layer-by-layer thicknesses, foam densities, coil count, or coil gauge, which limits value comparison at this premium price
- - The medium-plush surface is a poor starting point for stomach sleepers and shoppers who dislike deeper cushioning; GhostBed Comfort or Signature provides a firmer current path
- - The 101-night direct trial requires at least 30 nights of use, limits mattress returns to one per household and person, and excludes Alaska and Hawaii orders; unopened returns incur a 15% restocking fee
- - CertiPUR-US applies to the mattress foams rather than the gel-polymer layer, coils, cover, or complete mattress
