What changes from 9 to 12 inches?

The 9-inch model lists three inches of organic Dunlop latex support above a six-inch latex core. The 12-inch model adds a separate three-inch latex comfort layer above that three-inch support layer and six-inch core. Choose the deeper build when additional cushioning depth is useful; it does not automatically make the selected feel softer.

The 9-inch FAQ publishes latex ILDs of 14 for Soft, 28 for Medium and 40–42 for Firm. These describe material firmness. The page does not assign them clearly to every layer or explain the 12-inch allocation, so they are not whole-mattress firmness ratings.

Match the construction to your preferences

Consider Soft when you already prefer more give, including side sleep where cushioning matters. Compare Medium or Firm if you prefer a flatter, more resistant surface. An all-latex build should respond more readily than slow memory foam, but SleepRanked has not hands-on measured cooling, pressure relief, motion transfer or edge strength.

Organic Latex uses latex for both cushioning and support. The separately named Natural Latex model has a documented reversible design; the Hybrid uses a coil support unit. Their adjustment methods and feel do not transfer automatically to this model. Materials and foundation requirements

The manufacturer describes GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex and GOTS-certified organic cotton and wool. These manufacturer claims identify the stated materials and do not independently verify certification of the whole finished mattress. Wool supplies the fire barrier, so this is not a vegan mattress.
