How the construction changes the sleep experience
The useful question is what the materials and feel change for the sleeper. Here is the practical case for this exact model, along with the trade-offs to weigh.
What it is built to do
TEMPUR-ProBreeze Medium is a 12-inch all-foam mattress with a washable SmartClimate cover, a separate heat-diffusing layer, four centimeters of Pure Cool Material, and five centimeters of ventilated Advanced Relief Material.

- ✓The two named foam layers total nine centimeters, matching ProAdapt Medium's disclosed depth while changing the upper material and ventilating the second layer for thermal management
- ✓Medium keeps the quieter, slower all-foam response for sleepers who prioritize contouring and motion absorption over coil-assisted movement

Pros & Cons
Pros
- + The cooling package spans the surface and comfort stack: cooling fibers in the cover, a separate heat-diffusing layer, Pure Cool Material, and ventilation in the pressure-relief layer
- + The two named foam layers total nine centimeters, matching ProAdapt Medium's disclosed depth while changing the upper material and ventilating the second layer for thermal management
- + Medium keeps the quieter, slower all-foam response for sleepers who prioritize contouring and motion absorption over coil-assisted movement
- + Choose ProBreeze over ProAdapt Medium when persistent overheating justifies paying for the dedicated Breeze system rather than more foam depth
Cons
- - The ProBreeze premium buys cooling technology rather than a taller profile, thicker disclosed foam stack, longer trial, or longer warranty
- - Tempur-Pedic's up-to-five-degrees-cooler statement is an eight-hour heat-index comparison with ProAdapt, not a room-temperature change or individual guarantee
- - The slow-moving all-foam feel takes more effort to move across than Medium Hybrid and does not add a coil-reinforced edge
- - The direct 90-night trial asks buyers to keep the mattress for at least 30 nights; an eligible return deducts a $175 nonrefundable return shipping fee and the current trial article says tax applies
