365-night trial with comfort-exchange options at Nest Bedding
After 30 nights, eligible adult mattresses can be returned or receive one comfort exchange. An exchange does not restart the original trial window.
The useful question is what the materials and feel change for the sleeper. Here is the practical case for this exact model, along with the trade-offs to weigh.

Back sleepers
Balanced contouring and surface support matter more than an especially deep or plush sink.
Stomach sleepers
A firmer, flatter feel can help limit excessive midsection sink.
Nest Raven specs and fit
Raven is a 12-inch foam-and-coil hybrid with a Medium side and a Firm side. You turn the whole mattress over to change the sleeping surface; this is a different adjustment method from Nest's zippered, replaceable-layer models.
An eight-inch reinforced-edge pocketed-coil unit sits between the two comfort surfaces. The Medium side uses gel-infused visco foam; the Firm side uses a thinner, more resistant foam package. Start with Medium if you want more cushioning, or try Firm if you prefer a flatter surface. Neither label guarantees the right support for every body weight or sleeping position. The coil structure should give more spring response than an all-foam bed, without proving measured bounce or edge strength.
The Medium/Firm labels at the foot identify the side facing up. This lets you try both feels at home without ordering a replacement layer, but changing sides means lifting and flipping the whole mattress. Raven is not listed among the qualifying Lifetime Renewal Exchange models, so do not count on a free future comfort-layer renewal.
Both partners share the feel of the side facing up. If you need a different firmness on each side of a King or Cal King, compare Owl or Sparrow's internal-split options. If lifting a mattress is impractical, a zippered layer system may be easier to manage.
Raven uses polyurethane and gel-memory foams with a THERMIC phase-change cover. Nest identifies the foams as CertiPUR-US certified; that certification does not make the finished mattress organic or prove zero emissions.
SleepRanked has not hands-on tested cooling, pressure relief, motion transfer or durability. Fit observations are construction-based expectations, not measured outcomes or health promises.
Nest's direct 365-night trial starts at original delivery and requires 30 nights of use. An exchange does not restart it. Unpack promptly: more than 30 days boxed voids return privileges. Use rigid, flat support with slats no more than four inches apart; bowed or flexing slats and traditional box springs can void eligibility.
The Nest Bedding Raven Flippable Hybrid score brings together cooling, motion isolation, pressure relief, edge support, durability, price and purchase terms for an at-a-glance comparison. Softer or firmer feel does not raise or lower this general score.
This score weighs performance, price and purchase terms. Softer or firmer feel does not raise or lower it; the uses your sleep position and feel preferences to help find a suitable match. .
Start with a similar comfort, then compare what each price tier adds in materials, cooling, pressure relief, responsiveness, and support.
