365-night trial with comfort-exchange options at Nest Bedding
After 30 nights, eligible adult mattresses can be returned or receive one comfort exchange. An exchange does not restart the original trial window.
The useful question is what the materials and feel change for the sleeper. Here is the practical case for this exact model, along with the trade-offs to weigh.

Nest Sparrow specs and fit
Sparrow is a 14-inch hybrid with a three-inch Energex comfort layer, an eight-inch reinforced-edge pocketed-coil unit, and a quilted THERMIC cover with gel memory foam. It is the polyurethane-foam comfort alternative to Owl's Talalay-latex surface.
Nest offers Plush, Medium and Firm Energex options. Consider Plush when softer cushioning is your preference, Medium when you want a balanced starting point, and Firm when you prefer less sink. Nest describes Energex as more responsive than conventional slow-recovery memory foam. Its foam and coils should make repositioning easier than a deep, slow foam cradle, but SleepRanked has not measured the response. More cushioning does not guarantee better alignment or relief for every sleeper.
King and Cal King offer internally split comfort layers, allowing different feels on each side of one mattress. That is different from separate mattresses on independently moving bases. Qualifying Sparrow purchases include one Lifetime Renewal Exchange (LRE) for the comfort layer during the trial or later. A full mattress exchange consumes that one-time LRE; the benefit is not replenished with the replacement bed.
Choose the internal split only when both sleepers need different feels and your size supports it. The 14-inch profile also matters for sheets, frame height and handling. Compare Owl if you want the distinct pushback of natural latex rather than Energex polyurethane foam.
Sparrow uses Energex polyurethane foam, other support foams and gel memory foam. Nest identifies its foams as CertiPUR-US certified. The certification applies to foam content and emissions standards, not organic certification of the whole mattress.
SleepRanked has not hands-on tested cooling, pressure relief, motion transfer or durability. Fit observations are construction-based expectations, not measured outcomes or health promises.
The Nest Bedding Sparrow Signature Hybrid score brings together cooling, motion isolation, pressure relief, edge support, durability, price and purchase terms for an at-a-glance comparison. Softer or firmer feel does not raise or lower this general score.
This score weighs performance, price and purchase terms. Softer or firmer feel does not raise or lower it; the uses your sleep position and feel preferences to help find a suitable match. .
Start with a similar comfort, then compare what each price tier adds in materials, cooling, pressure relief, responsiveness, and support.

Shopping policy highlights
Shipping, trial and return eligibility can vary by seller. Confirm the terms before ordering.
Cushioning at the shoulder and hip matters most; use the listed feel to judge how much give you want.
Back sleepers
Balanced contouring and surface support matter more than an especially deep or plush sink.
Nest's direct 365-night trial starts at original delivery and requires 30 nights of use. An exchange does not restart it. Unpack promptly: more than 30 days boxed voids return privileges. Use rigid, flat support with slats no more than four inches apart; bowed or flexing slats and traditional box springs can void eligibility.
Keep the mattress clean, donatable and undamaged, with law labels attached. Approved returns require a donation or disposal receipt before a refund. Pickup is not guaranteed everywhere; methods and optional removal can involve fees. The original purchaser's limited lifetime warranty covers qualifying defects, excluding normal softening and changing comfort preferences. Other sellers' terms can differ.
