Pros & Cons
Pros
- + The five-inch comfort system combines three inches of Bio-Pur with two inches of faster-rebounding Active Flex for deep cushioning without relying on slow Memory Foam alone
- + Two inches of five-zone HIVE foam provide firmer response beneath the head, back, and legs and more give beneath the shoulders and hips according to Amerisleep's construction description
- + Choose AS5 Foam over AS5 Hybrid for quieter, steadier contour and the lower current catalog price; choose Hybrid for spring response, support-core airflow, easier movement, and a stronger perimeter
- + The solid Bio-Core support layer avoids connected coil movement, a practical construction advantage for couples who prioritize motion isolation over bounce
Cons
- - The soft 3/10 feel and five inches of comfort foam are a poor starting point for strict stomach sleepers and shoppers who want a flat, firm surface
- - Amerisleep includes heavy sleepers in its broad AS5 positioning but publishes no product capacity or independent compression result on the reviewed page; higher-bodyweight back and stomach sleepers should compare firmer and coil-supported options
- - Amerisleep's seven-degree Refresh comparison, cooling, recovery, circulation, alignment, pressure, pain, motion, edge, and durability statements are manufacturer or construction evidence rather than SleepRanked lab results
- - The 100-night trial asks for 30 nights, while the 20-year warranty becomes prorated after year 10, uses a greater-than-1.5-inch indentation threshold, and requires a solid base or slats no wider than 2.75 inches
